AN ADVERTISEMENT: PRE-RECORDED

(A flicker of light. An image surfaces on the wall.

It is an arrow that divides into two pathways and then meets again forming a heart.

In the middle of it reads: PIVOT.)

VOICE OVER:

In the light of today’s society, we can all admit there’s a lot-

(Image of a couple having a verbal disagreement.)

- of this-

(Another couple verbally fighting.)

-and this-

-and of course that.

(An individual throws something at their significant other.)

In fact, many of us could argue that the human desire to fight has become ingrained in basic human nature. The need to validate one’s self. To prove that you are right. Because your truth is all what matters.

(The individual that threw the item smiles with satisfaction.)

That’s why we bring to you PIVOT. A new app designed for those looking to... well-

(A couple verbally screaming at one another on a park bench. Finally one gets up and leaves.)

- do this...

(The person who won the fight makes a gesture: score!)

(The next bit is played out, as if it is a television commercial.)

A simple download on your smartphone and a simple survey is all it takes to get started. PIVOT works with state-of-the-art software to pair you up purposely with a stranger who doesn’t agree with you. We will then set you up with a public meeting spot- and the rest can be history.

(An individual fighting with their mother -maybe she is wearing a controversial political pin or something of that nature)

So Don’t take it our on your mom-

(Mom flips into another individual - a total stranger.)

-when you can butt heads with someone you will never see again.

(The individual and the stranger hold hands.)

And who knows? Maybe you’ll find some common ground, that will actually make you:

(Logo pops back up onto the screen.)

Pivot.

(Blackout.)
