The Theater 29 CoLab program was created by Ellen K. Graham and launched in 2020 as a commission and collaboration opportunity; furthering our commitment to collaborative and playwright developed and produced new work by Colorado playwrights.
Playwrights who applied for the CoLab Program have also been considered for other events, development, and production opportunities at Theater 29.
The playwrights selected for the inaugural CoLab cohort include Alex Burkart, Melissa Leach, Felice Locker, Pamela Nocerino, and Matthew Schultz.

Commission and Development
In 2020, the CoLab playwrights wrote and collaboratively developed a collection of short plays. They also organized and participated in a virtual reading of their commissioned works.
Collaborative Production Opportunity
Post-pandemic, the CoLab playwrights will participate in a collaborative production of their commissioned works at Theater 29.
